Michael Scarmack - Design Professional

Michael Scarmack, (he/him/his) is a design professional, known in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction field for his competence as a registered architect and consultant. With a career spanning over four decades, Michael has consistently demonstrated his exceptional skills with rigid compliance of the Ohio Revised Code, as it pertains to building codes and related laws.

His projects include Federal, State, Municipal, Commercial and Residential works, in multiple sites across many of the United States, touching thousands of occupants and visitors with care for their safety and well being.

Michael's careful attention to detail, coupled with his ability to envision and execute complex projects have made him a visionary in his field, from the humble beginnings as the last undergrad graduate of the former prestigious School of Architecture at Ohio University to a 90,000 employee global company.

The family have been residents of Fairfield County Ohio for 38 years. He and his wife, Stacey are the parents to four children and grandparents to five grandchildren.

He's running for this office to give a choice for the District’s voters, be they Democrats, Unaffiliated Citizens or disgruntled Republicans in an extremely gerrymandered district.

He will help you balance the political field within the Ohio House General Assembly, and reinforce a strong foundation in the Fairfield County Democratic Party.

As an architect, Scarmack brings a wealth of technical knowledge and creative talent to every project he has undertaken. His tireless commitment to delivering excellence has established him as a resourceful helper that translates to be a progressive advocate for the issues that matter most to the majority of people in House District 73.

Michael Scarmack's work extends beyond the built environment, as he pursues a state representative's seat in the Ohio General Assembly for the citizens of District 73, with a passion for helping the entire constituency and protecting our democracy, our land, water and air and all our people.
